CMCI doctoral candidate Nicole Ferdinand travelled to Stenden University of Applied Sciences in Leewarden in the Netherlands for the launch of a book she has co-edited, entitled Events Management: an international approach.  As you can see from the photograph of Nicole cutting the ribbon, the event organisers interpreted the idea of a book launch quite literally!

The book is written by a team of high profile, international authors and combines theory and practice to provide a comprehensive account of events management.  It covers key issues such as fundraising, sponsorship and globalization, drawing on a wide range of case studies from around the world.  The book will be published by Sage in March.  More details are available on the publisher’s website.
