Moral Economies of Creative Labour

On the 7th and 8th of July, Dr Bridget Conor will visit the Institute of Communication Studies at the University of Leeds to participate in the ‘Moral Economies of Creative Labour‘ conference. The conference aims to address questions such as: What are the moral or ethical dimensions of creative work? and What are the political outcomes of efforts to infuse creative labour with ethical intent or content? and will host some leading scholars from the CMCI field such as Susan Christopherson, Melissa Gregg and Russell Keat. Bridget’s paper will look at these questions in relation to a possible ethics of collaborative screenwriting work and the vagaries of ‘development hell’ and will chair a panel on production ethics.
